What Does the BOTOX® Cosmetic/XEOMIN® Treatment Involve?
BOTOX® Cosmetic and XEOMIN® treatments can be conveniently performed here at our practice and usually take just 30 minutes or less to complete, depending on the number of areas being treated. Dr. Ryff, Dr. Coombs, Dr. Mayer, Dr. Chiappetti, or Dr. Reed will inject the botulinum toxin solution into the targeted areas with an extremely fine needle called the Comfortox™, which is specifically designed for delivering painless injections.
Is a Recovery Period Necessary After BOTOX® Cosmetic or XEOMIN® Treatment?
You may expect localized raised areas of skin where the botulinum toxin has been injected. These generally disappear within an hour or so. Bruising is always possible, but in our experience extremely uncommon. We recommend not touching or manipulating treatment areas for a few hours after treatment. Most patients resume normal activities right away.
How Long Will the Results of BOTOX® Cosmetic/XEOMIN® Last?
Most patients can expect the results from botulinum toxin injections to last at least 90 days. Our office typically recommends that patients return for a follow-up appointment to monitor overall progress, and to perform small “enhancement” injections (if necessary) to achieve optimal aesthetic results. The effects of these treatments can be maintained with additional follow-up procedures once the results begin to fade.

Botulinum toxin solutions such as BOTOX® Cosmetic and XEOMIN® have been utilized for many years as a way for both women and men to effectively renew their appearance with exceptional results. When performed by qualified and experienced injectors, the chances of a safe and successful BOTOX® Cosmetic or XEOMIN® procedure are significantly increased. The American Academy of Facial Esthetics has certified Dr. Ryff, Dr. Coombs, Dr. Mayer, Dr. Chiappetti, and Dr. Reed to administer these injections for facial rejuvenation, and they have been extensively trained to perform these treatments for both aesthetic and therapeutic purposes.
How Much Does BOTOX® Cosmetic or XEOMIN® Cost?
The total cost of treatment with BOTOX® Cosmetic or XEOMIN® is variable among patients due to the customized nature of these procedures and the goals of each individual. Our fee for BOTOX® Cosmetic or XEOMIN® is roughly equivalent and total fees depend mostly on the number of treatment areas being targeted for rejuvenation and the amount of the solution necessary to accomplish your treatment goals. Once your treatment plan has been created during the initial consultation, a member of our team here at Scottsdale Smile Center will produce a cost estimate and answer any questions you may have. We are generally able to accommodate requests for same-day treatment during the consultation.
